Wellness – The Brain and The Nervous System

WELLNESS- BRAIN AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. Feeling happy begins when we are centered and balanced. It all begins in the brain, the human body’s communication network – the nervous system, and our neurotransmitters and hormone production.
Neurotransmitters are classified as excitatory or inhibitory, which help regulate our moods, appetite, and sleep-wake cycle. Examples of neurotransmitters are serotonin, dopamine, glutamate, and acetylcholine.
Research shows that proper care, adequate rest, and a healthy diet can enhance the functions of the Nervous System. Traditional medicine also believes that green leafy vegetables and fruits, traditional herbs such as Ginseng tea, and other essential oils can help achieve a healthy mind and body.
