
The Spearmint came from the Labitae or Lamiaceae botanical family. The chemical make up consists of 44-55% Carvone, Limonene 15-25%, Cis-Dihydrocarvone 5-10%.
Spearmint is used for cooking. It increases metabolism, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, mucolytic, gall bladder stimulant, digestive aid and anti tumorial. Research shows that Spearmint prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria. (Imai H. et. al , 2001)
Spearmint oil opens and releases emotional blocks and brings about a feeling of balance .
In countries such as Jordan and Morocco, Spearmint is widely used as teas, beverages and as a spice.
