MARAMING SALAMAT sa buong Quilitisan / Ang Pulo community for the overwhelming spirit of panunulungan in helping prepare for the Pagoda Festival.
One of the most admirable values in Quilitisan is the genuine willingness to help one another — whether preparing meals, lending cooking utensils, carrying supplies, or simply offering time and effort. Men and women worked side by side, reminding us that this celebration is not only about tradition, but also about community, connection, and shared heritage.
The making of suman became a beautiful symbol of togetherness. It is more than just a sweet delicacy to share — it is a tradition where women gather, carefully measuring each cup of rice, delicately wrapping it in banana leaves with coconut milk, and patiently cooking it throughout the entire day. Stories are shared, laughter fills the air, and traditions are passed from one generation to another.
This spirit of unity, generosity, and bayanihan is what truly makes the Pagoda celebration meaningful.
From our hearts, thank you for keeping this tradition alive.
