Japan: The Land of the Rising Sun

Hiizurukuni, Nihon kara kon’nichiwa. Watashitachiha bunka o tansaku shi manabu tame ni Kyōto ni kite imasu. Hello from the country of the rising sun – Japan. We are here in Kyoto to explore the history and culture of this beautiful country. Our main goal for this trip to learn about Shiatsu and Reiki, both are famous massage modalities used in the western world as part of healing.
TRIP PREPARATION
Our trip preparation began 3 months prior to the trip. Because our trip is only 6 days we created a schedule that still gives us an opportunity to take classes and explore the city of Kyoto. First, we learned a few travel Japanese language to help us get around Japan. Learning a few courtesy words in Japanese can go a long way.

We made preparations from seeking an English speaking teacher , learn the basic travel language, map out routes for the train station, and find ways to explore the culture. We began our first day of our 4-day Shiatsu class. Shiatsu originated in Japan . This is a great way for immersive learning . Stay tuned for more details .
